Attention starved

Tim it really is sad that you crave attention so much that you will take it any way you can. Seriously, you come on my site, attack my beliefs and have the nerve to blame me for mudslinging? I DON'T throw insults around, I never once used any sort of profane language where as you (I'm just thinking about it offhand) made the point that the Communist party had a quote (spelled properly right there) "fat dike" (I know it's Dyke but I'm doing a direct quote here) running for it. And I'm sorry it's not that difficult to run these thing through a spell check before posting them, really. And yes tim, I did take note of the spelling and it didn't improve at all. If you're going to try to make a valid point about anything...Word for the wise, people need to know that their dealing with someone halfway intelligent before they'll take you seriously.

Firstly, don't you ever dare insult the teachers that were at Ardrossan. My school has produced the best and brightest in all of Alberta. What with the highest Physics 30 average, and the fact that not only does it have the best Physics teacher in Alberta, but also both the best math teacher and Social studies teacher in the county. And it's not just my school that's under funded, the majority of public schools across Alberta are. Seriously look at it this way, class sizes have done nothing but grow over the past years. Some classes in a highschool setting have as many as 40 students in them. 40 students to one teacher, seems a little hard to get any attention to one student when there are 39 others that need attention as well. And like I've said, some schools have text books that are over 10 years old that they have to use because they can't afford newer ones (not just my school tim, ones all across Alberta). Not to mention that Teachers are way to underpaid, the average teacher will put in 50 to 60 hours a week and all of that above 40 is unpaid. How you ask? When do you think your exams are marked, when do you think the lesson plan for the next day is made? At your teacher's home, on their own time, out of sight, out of mind, and not appreciated.

Nextly, what does the schooling in Africa have to do with school in Alberta? I mean, does the money not being spent on education go to them? No it doesn't tim. If you're going to try a sob story why not do something along the lines of extremely intelligent students can't get into the programs they want because they can't afford it or there isn't enough funding to the program so there's no more room for them?

Also, if you're going to try to make a point about anything you need to make sure you know what you're talking about. Albertans ARE infact very resistant to change, a government in Alberta usually has a reign of 20 to 30 years with a majority. Nextly about the "rather face an evil we know then an evil we don't" is a metaphor. Albertans don't know what to expect from another leader and are afraid of that, therefore they stick with what they know because they're afraid of change. And about the little "the majority of people agree with PC" comment, incase you didn't realize it but not all people vote, and also it's not even the majority of the people that voted that agree because in Canada we use first past the post, where whoever with the largest amount of votes wins, not the one with the majority...Here maybe I can put it into perspective for a simpleton like you...

There are three candidates A, B, and C. Candidate A received 3 votes, while B and C only received 2 each. This brings the total amount of votes up to 7 where 3 voted for candidate A and a total of 4 voted against. Candidate A will still win because he has the most votes even if it isn't the majority of te total vote.

Due to the splitting of the votes between B and C, A will still win because A had the single most votes as is what happens in Alberta. So don't say the majority of people agree that Klein is what's best when quite clearly they don't.

Just to prove you wrong about old fashioned not hurting anyone...Soldiers in the 1700s used to take mercury as medicine and also used to chew on lead bullets when in the field.

And what has Klein done to me? He's told me that the debt is almost paid off...It's not, the money is there to pay it but we still have the debt. The money for it is just in the bank just waiting to be used. Klein has more then tripled tuition fees for me to go to post secondary. Klein didn't help right away during the BSE crisis causing my relatives to lose a great deal of money. Klein deregulated power causing more then enough problems for my father who works for the power company. Klein slashed funding to education making it more difficult for my mother to make sure she has a job. Klein slashed funding to health care making it difficult for my grandmother to get the attention she needed when she broke her hip as well as causing an old lady that was in the same waiting room as me to have to wait over 8 hours with a shattered pelvis because there weren't any doctors that could see her. That's what Klein has done.

Change is something that cannot be avoided, it comes whether we like it or not. The government must adjust to the change of needs of the people or it will perish. This will happen with Klein, there is no avoiding it.

Gotta love a province where you spend more time in the slammer for pieing Klein then you would if you raped someone.
